Terms of Service

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control. The app is licensed, not sold, to you.

The app is a calculation and recording tool. It produces ballistic solutions, turret adjustment figures and range estimates from the parameters and field conditions you enter. These are computed outputs. They are not safety guidance and they do not replace your own judgement, visual confirmation, or the safety procedures in force where you are shooting. Whether and how to fire remains your responsibility at all times.

You must comply with all laws where you are, covering possession, transport and discharge of firearms, and use the app only at lawful shooting locations. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter: a wrong twist rate, click value, muzzle velocity or ballistic coefficient produces a wrong solution.

An account is optional. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Contact us promptly if you become aware of unauthorised use.

The data you enter is yours. We claim no ownership of it. How it is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy. You can export a backup or delete your data at any time.

The built-in factory rifle, optic and factory ammunition figures are drawn from public sources and provided as they are. We work to keep them accurate but do not warrant that they are complete or that they match any particular lot. Your own live-fire records take precedence.

The visual rangefinder estimates distance from the assumed size of a reference object in the frame; results are given as a range and can be substantially wrong. Compass, level and weather readings come from device sensors or third-party data sources and can be disturbed or biased. They are for reference only and do not replace dedicated ranging and measuring equipment. People in the frame may serve only as a size reference; the app must not be used to aim at people or to estimate the distance for shooting at people.

Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose. Do not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to circumvent its technical measures, except where applicable law expressly permits. Do not interfere with the service or with other people's use of it.

We may update, change or discontinue parts of the app. Where a change materially reduces what the app does, we will give notice in advance and, as far as we can, preserve your ability to export your data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a solution is suitable for any particular combination of rifle, load, optic or conditions.

The app's core features are free. PrecAlgo Pro is offered through the Apple App Store as an auto-renewing subscription (yearly or monthly) or a one-time purchase (lifetime); prices and trial lengths are those shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends; cancelling at least 24 hours before a free trial ends means you are not charged. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. "Lifetime" means the right to use Pro features with the Apple Account used for the purchase for as long as the app continues to be offered. When a subscription expires or is cancelled, Pro features stop working and your saved data stays on your device.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our aggregate liability under these terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions or limits, in which case they apply only to the extent the law allows. Nothing here excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury where the law does not permit exclusion.

You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and disputes are submitted to the courts of British Columbia. Where the mandatory law of your place of residence gives you better protection as a consumer, that protection is unaffected.
